I can officially stop using Pinterest forever: I found my perfect outfit. While that probably won't actually happen any time soon, I felt fantastic in this outfit all day. Finding a personal uniform isn't about some hard core planning strategy. For me, having a personal uniform is just noticing what makes me feel the best. I have always pretty much known that it is a button up and jeans, but the little details of the recycled leather motorcycle jacket and low heels are what sealed the deal for this look.
I talked about these jeans a few posts ago, but since then I had them altered and love them even more. Just a few inches off the bottom made them the absolute perfect length. I'm a huge fan of getting things tailored, even just minimally, rather than trying to buy something new to take their place. Not feeling a raw hem anymore when the trend is over? That's something a tailor can easily fix. For me, I love the look of straight leg, vintage inspired jeans, but store bought pairs are usually a few inches too long since I prefer a cropped leg. A whole round of alterations can feel a little expensive, but it will make those neglected pieces feel brand new without having to actually go shopping.
